Overview of Behavior Consulting

Our Field Consultants specialize in children and adults with behavior disorders caused by a variety of developmental disabilities including autism.  We work with families in diverse settings - homes, school districts, residential homes, mental health facilities - and in partnership with many service providers and members of our client’s advocate team.

Our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) Consultants have expertise in:

  • Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
  • Collaborating in the development and implementation of individually tailored Behavior Support Plans (BSP)

  • Teaching parents and professionals:

    • how to establish instructional control with children;
    • how to increase and maintain desirable behavior;
    • how to reduce and replace problem behavior; and,
    • how to teach daily living skills
  • Coordinating home ABA programs
  • Tailoring academic curriculum to maximize learning, increase academic success and bridge skill deficits
  • Developing and implementing communication-based interventions – teaching verbal communication, basic sign language, PECS, and functional communicative solutions
  • Using evidence-based practices and data to drive our interventions and decision making

        We host training & workshops too

        Our Consultants regularly provide workshops and trainings for individuals, families, schools, mental health facilities, residential facilities, and other organizations on behavioral management approaches, positive behavior support, and education on development disabilities.  We provide targeted solutions that can be quickly implemented by tailoring our training to your specific needs.
